The Legislative Arm, at a press briefing at the Council Secretariat, accused Honourable Lucky of misconduct.
At the press briefing to address the suspension of Hon. Lucky Ibiri, the Councilor representing Okumagba 1 Ward 9, the chairman House Committee on Information and Publicity Honourable Ojigharo Jolomi and Majority leader Honourable Tuoyo Ebigbeyi said the House carried out the suspension after series of meetings and investigation by the House Committee on Discipline and Ethics by order 36 of the standing order of the House as derived from section 51 of the Delta State local government (Amendment) law 2017.
The report of the committee also has it that Honourable Lucky Ibiri has been going around the residence of the leader of the Legislative Arm, Right Honourable Joy Ejumudo, with unknown young men since his suspension.
The Legislative Arm maintained that Hon. Ibiri’s suspension was justified due to his alleged attack and threats on his colleagues.
The situation highlights the ongoing tension within the Warri South Legislative Arm.
