CHAIRMAN BURUTU LOCAL GOVERNMENT HON JULIUS TAKEME CONGRATULATES DELTA STATE GOVERNOR RT HON SHERIFF OBOREVWORI ON INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPERS AWARDS

Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area, Hon. Julius Takeme, has congratulated Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on his remarkable double honour as Outstanding Independent Governor and Best Independent Governor in Urban Renewal of the Year 2025 by the Independent Newspapers.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Julius Takeme described the awards as a well-deserved recognition of Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of Delta State.

He noted that the governor’s strides in infrastructural renewal, urban development, and people-oriented governance have continued to transform communities across the state.

Hon. Takeme commended the governor for prioritizing projects that directly impact the lives of the people, especially in the area of urban renewal, which he said has significantly improved the aesthetic and economic value of cities and towns in Delta State.

He further stated that the recognition serves as a motivation for continued excellence, expressing confidence that Governor Oborevwori will sustain the momentum of growth and development.

The Burutu Council Chairman also reaffirmed his administration’s support and alignment with the MORE Agenda of the state government, pledging continued collaboration to ensure grassroots development and improved welfare for the people of Burutu Local Government Area.

Hon. Takeme concluded by wishing the governor greater success in his leadership journey, while urging Deltans to continue supporting the administration for the overall progress of the state.
