ODIDI COMMUNITY HOLDS GENERAL CONGRESS, ENDORSES TENURE EXTENTION OF PRESENT EXECUTIVE, CONSTITUTION.

The people of Odidi Federated Community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State, has in a Community Congress endorsed the extension of the tenure of the present executive of the community, lead by the Chairman Mr Prince Okrikpa.

The Odidi Federated Community General Congress which was held at the community school field, also saw the people endorsing for a costititution to be written for the community.

Odidi Community General Congress kicked off with an opening speech by the Chairman of Odidi Federated Community, Mr Prince Okrikpa, where he informed that the congress is to foster togetherness and a better way forward for the positive growth of the community.

While calling for unity and togetherness Mr Prince Okrikpa highlighted some achievements since assuming office to include ensuring of Odidi 1, Odidi 2 and Odidi 3 boards of trustees in the PIA, employment of youths of the community, ensuring proper sharing formula of monthly stipends due the community among the five families that make up Odidi Community, provide boats that transport students daily to and from school, won court cases, including women and youths in the community into scheme of things in the community amongst others.

Mr Okrikpa further informed the people that plans are on to build a community town hall, organize skills acquisition for youths and women, Housing units projects, and the reclamation of the community land through sand filling.

On the issue of a constitution guiding the community, one after the other they all agreed that a constitute be written for the community.

To confirm their resolution, they all filled and signed a form agreeing to the resolution which they one after the other rose to endorse the resolution and also a resolution for the tenure extension of the present community executive lead by the Chairman Mr Prince Okrikpa.

The chairman odidi federated community Mr Prince Okrikpa appreciated them for the trust and confidence repose in him, assuring that he won’t fail, and that a community constitution will very soon be made available for endorsement.
