LOC HOLDS DRAWS FOR MAIDEN EDITION OF IKA NATION FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT, KICKS OFF NOVEMBER 22ND.

The Draws for the Maiden Edition of the Ika Nation Football Tournament have been held.

The draws which was held at the Agbor Township Stadium, had in attendance coaches and captains of the Twenty Eight participating teams.

Conducted by members of the Local Organizing Committee, the draws saw wards/communities from Ika North East being drawn to play each other, as same for wards/communities from Ika South.

Just before the draws was held, the teams where educated on the new rules guarding the game of football, which they stressed will be implemented at the Ika Nation football tournament.

The tournament will be on a Knock-Out.

At the end of the draws, from Ika North East, UTE OGBEJE (WARD 13) will lock horns with IGBODO (WARD 8), UTE OKPU (WARD 9) will take on MBIRI (WARD 12), OWANTA ALIOSIMI (WARD 5) will tackle OWA EKEI/OFIE/ALIZOMOR (WARD 6), BOJI BOJI TWO (WARD 4) was drawn to face UMUNEDE (WARD 11), OWA OYIBU (WARD 1) will tackle OTOLOKPO (WARD 4), IDUMUESAH (WARD 10) against OWA ALERO (WARD 2), BOJI BOJI ONE (WARD 3) will trade tackle against AKUMAZI (WARD 7), while OWERRE-OLUBOR will play EKWUOMA.

From Ika South, EKUKU AGBOR (WARD 5) will battle EMUHU (WARD 9), ALIHAMI (WARD 6) will trade tackle against ALISIMIE (WARD 3), IDUMU OGALA (WARD 2) will lock horns with OROGODO (WARD 8), OGBEMUDEN (WARD 1) will tackle ABAVO THREE (WARD 12), EWURU (WARD 4) against ABAVO ONE (WARD 10), while ABAVO TWO (WARD 11) will battle ALIBUBA (WARD 7).

The Ika Nation Football Tournament 2025 will kickoff Saturday 22nd November with the opening match between Akumazi and Boji Boji one.

The Ika Nation Football Tournament which is a tournament for wards/communities in Ika North/East and South, is being sponsored by Hon Udoka Nwaeweche, with the aim to unite Ika Nation and also give football players in the area the needed platform to showcase their God’s Given Talents.
