Delta State Chairman of Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas Delta State Chapter, Comrade Sunday Enujeke has commissioned eight Sienna Buses for the day to day running of the body.
Speaking at the commissioning of the eight Sienna buses, Delta State Chairman of Host Communities Producing Oil and Gas Delta State Chapter, Comrade Sunday Enujeke said the commissioning of the buses has put to rest rumours and all forms blackmail against his executive noting that the eight buses are for the day to day running of the affairs of the body.
Comrade Enujeke disclosed that the six of the buses are for the office of the Chairmen of the six ethnic nationalities while the other two are for the offices of the State Chairman and Secretary.
He noted that the vehicle have been registered and the sum of two hundred thousand naira each has been provided for the fueling of the buses.
Comrade Enujeke explained that, the buses were the second phase of the capacity building noting that the first phase was the empowerment of hundreds of indigenes from oil and gas bearing communities through their ethnic nationalities chairmen.
He added tha’, the third phase which is the renovation of the National Secretariat of Hostcom is ongoing and presently near completion.
Comrade Enujeke thanked Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for approving the money and for his fatherly advice to the body.He equally thanked former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the management of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, for making the event possible.
Comrade Enujeke promised to continue to mobilise residents of oil and gas bearing communities to support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and protect oil and gas facilities in their areas.
Responding, Secretary of Delta State Hostcom. Comrade Joseph Lamia and Chairman of Urhobo Ethnic Nationality, Chief Andrew Agoye, thanked Comrade Sunday Enujeke for the initiative and for his leadership quality.
They promised to continue to support him to enable him do more.
The event was climaxed with the commissioning of the Sienna buses to the admiration of all present.
