Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has said he was out for Bad Contractors who Execute shoddy jobs for the state.

Governor Oborevwori disclosed this shortly after inspecting the 6.5 kilometers Achalla-Ibusa Road being Constructed by the state Government.

Governor Oborevwori frowned at the poor quality drainage executed by the contractor handling the project.

The Governor who reiterated that his Administration would not tolerate any substandard jobs, said his decision to inspect the project stemmed from an unsatisfactory feedback he received from persons that he had previously sent to evaluate the road project.

Governor Oborevwori noted that the feedback motivated him to prioritize road inspections this year, adding that his goal was to ensure that his Administration achieved quality road projects worthy of inauguration.

The Governor pointed out that his Administration would not spend money on projects that Deltans cannot get value for their money.

The representative of the contracting confirmed to the Governor that they used materials below the ones approved in the bill of quantity.

Some youths in the area thanked the Governor for sticking to standard and urged him to monitor the road for it to stand the test of time.

Governor Oborevwori, also inspected the recently completed 2 kilometer road leading to the 63 Brigade Barracks of the Nigerian Army in Aboh-Ogwashi, where he applauded the contractor for the speedy Execution of the project which according to the Governor was awarded three months ago.

Other projects inspected by the Governor included the Gully Erosion site along Okpanam-Ibusa bypass, perimeter fence and the road around Asaba Internation Airport as well as Kwekagbor Layout, opposite Summit Junction, Asaba.
