OVIE OF EWU KINGDOM, URHUKPE I, HONOURS FORTY EIGHT SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE KINGDOM WITH CHIEFTAINCY TITLES .

Forty Eight indigenes of Ewu Kingdom have been honoured with Chieftaincy Titles by the Ovie of Ewu Kingdom, Urhukpe the First.

The event which was held at Ewu kingdom, Ughelli South Local Government Area, had in attendance, the Pere of Akugbene Mein-Kingdom, Kalanama the Eight, and some clergymen.

Prominent among the Forty Eight Sons and Daughters of Ewu Kingdom that were honoured with Chieftaincy titles by the Ovie of Ewu Kingdom, Urhukpe the First, is the Chairman Ughelli South Local Government, Hon Lucky Avweromre, who was honoured with the title, The Okugbe of Ewu kingdom.

Speaking, the Ovie of Ewu Kingdom, Urhukpe the First, said the Forty Eight sons and daughters of the kingdom were duely screened and found worthy, and have served the kingdom in a greater perspective.

He explained that in a bid to ensure togetherness and love amongst the people of the kingdom, the sons and daughters that are being honoured where duely chosen from every quarter that make up Ewu kingdom.

The Ovie of Ewu kingdom charged them to live up to the expectations that they have been honoured for, and join in building lasting peace and unity across the kingdom.

In his goodwill message, the Pere of Akugbene Mein-Kingdom, Kalanama the Eight, assured of lasting unity among his kingdom and Ewu kingdom, and called on the newly installed chiefs to join hands with their monarch in ensuring peace, unity and love across the kingdom.

Some of the newly installed Chiefs who spoke, including the Chairman Ughelli South Local Government, Hon Lucky Avweromre, who got the title the Okugbe of Ewu kingdom, Olorogun Charles Buluku who got the title the Esemugboja of Ewu kingdom, Olorogun Harvest Waka with the title the Erhi of Ewu kingdom, appreciated the Ovie of Ewu kingdom and people of the kingdom for finding them worthy to be honoured, assuring their total commitment towards a better Ewu kingdom.

The Ovie of Ewu kingdom then pronounced Arch Bishop Jonathan Ojigbo as the Spiritual Leader of Ewu kingdom.
