The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security Matters, Hon Joseph Atseyinku, has commended stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, for their unanimous decision to adopt President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori as the party’s sole candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking with journalists, Hon Joseph Atseyinku expressed delight over the development, describing it as a bold step towards unity, continuity, and progress.
He applauded the wisdom of the party leaders for putting collective interest above personal ambition, stressing that the decision reflects political maturity and commitment to sustained governance.
Hon Joseph Atseyinku said the move signifies a renewed commitment to continuity and stability in governance, stressing that such consensus demonstrates political maturity and strategic foresight within the APC family.
The Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security Matters noted that the leadership qualities and developmental strides of President Tinubu at the national level, as well as the people-oriented policies of Governor Oborevwori in Delta State, have earned them the overwhelming confidence of the people.
According to him, their synergy and focus on service delivery have brought visible progress and deserve to be sustained beyond 2027.
Hon Atseyinku urged party members across the state to remain steadfast, united, and fully supportive of the APC leadership at all levels.
He assured that the joint leadership of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori will further consolidate democratic gains, strengthen security, enhance economic growth, and promote inclusive governance for the benefit of all Nigerians.
