Chairman Warri North Local Government, Hon Festus Ashima, says the history of Nigeria will not be complete without the fallen heroes who fought for the unity of the Nation.

He said this during his message to the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, held in Koko, warri north local government area.

Hon Festus Ashima said the fallen heroes no doubt deserved to be remembered and honoured, saying that their sacrifice is what Nigerians are enjoying today.

The warri north local government council boss while paying tribute to the fallen heroes, also paid tribute to the men and women of armed forces who are currently engaged in internal security operations, particularly in the on-going fight against banditry and Boko Haram.

Hon Festus Ashima commended them for support towards a peaceful warri north local government area, assuring of his administration’s commitment in working with them and other security agencies to ensure continuous peace, safety of lives and properties across the local government area.

He then called on individuals and corporate organizations to support the heroes who are still alive, and also families of the fallen once.
