The good deeds and benevolence of United Kingdom based businessman and father of Captain of England’s Rugby Team, Maro Itoje, Mr Efetobore Amos Itoje and his wife, Mrs Florence Iroro Itoje have been recognized by the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom, Owhotemu the second, as the monarch confered on them chieftaincy titles.
The Okere Urhobo monarch confered the title Ekokoruo of Okere Urhobo Kingdom on Chief Efetobore Itoje and Ayaobaro of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.on his wife, to the admiration of all present.
The monarch said the chieftaincy titles were in recognition of the good deeds and benevolence of Chief Efetobore Itoje and his wife to humanity especially to Okere Urhobo Kingdom.
Chief Efetobore Itoje and his wife, Chief Florence thanked the Orosuen for the honour, noting that their new status will spur them to do more for humanity.
Some prominent persons present including Chief Bernard Edewor, Chief Alex Ajuebon and his wife Chief Veronica Ajuebon, among others congratulated Chief Efetobore and Chief Florence Itoje and urged them to be good ambassadors of Okere Urhobo Kingdom.
A reception was later held for guests at the Eku residence of Chief Efetobore Itoje.
