OVER TWO HUNDRED PERSONS BENEFITS FROM FREE EYE TREATMENT OF WOMEN OPTOMETRIST IN NIGERIA, DELTA STATE CHAPTER.

Over two hundred persons from Igbudu community in Warri South Local Government Area have benefited from the free eye treatment of Women Optometrist in Nigeria, Delta State Chapter.

The free eye treatment, which was part of activities marking Good Friday, was sponsored by the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, Igbi the First, along with other pharmaceutical and optical partners.

The free eye care programme by Women Optometrist in Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, tagged ” Doing Good on Good Friday”, featured free eye examinations, presentation of free reading glasses, medications, eye health talks, and free blood pressure checks.

Chairman of Nigeria Optometric Association, Dr. Ejiro Peggy-Ohwin, Delta State Chapter, stated that the medical outreach was part of the association’s mandate to provide high-quality healthcare to vulnerable persons within their host community.

Dr. Ejiro further explained that the initiative is aimed at helping the less privileged and vulnerable groups who cannot afford regular healthcare check-ups and treatment.

According to the Chairman of Women Optometrist in Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Dr. Abigail Elohor Okaroh, the goal of the programme is to expand access to quality care, ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity for a healthy future.

Some beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the free medical outreach, noting that it had significantly addressed their healthcare needs.

Free glasses, eye drops, and medication were also distributed to those who attended the outreach.
