Chairman Burutu Local Government, Dr. Julius Takeme, has officially handed over a newly built ultra-modern toilets at the Delta State Maritime Polytechnic to the management of the institution.
Speaking after being presented the keys to the newly built toilets facility, the rector of the institution, Prof. James Okoro expressed gratitude to the council chairman for his generosity, noting that this is the first time a sitting council chairman has initiated such a major project for the institution, following the water system built by the former chairman.
He further praised Hon Julius Takeme for his rapid development initiatives, having accomplished numerous transformative projects in less than five months of his administration.
Prof. Okoro also prayed for continued blessings upon the council chairman for his contributions to the institution.
In a similar ceremony, Dr. Takeme also handed over another ultra-modern toilets built for the Burutu Community Market to the market’s chairman.
The women of the market, in a show of appreciation, lauded Dr. Takeme for exceeding their expectations and praised his dedication to welfare of the people.
In his remark, the chairman burutu local government, Hon Julius Takeme said his administration is fully committed to ensuring the welfare of people of the local government area.
He promise to continue to deliver the true dividend of democracy to the people of burutu local government area in line with the MORE agenda of the state Governor.
