The Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu has monitored second term school resumption across the state with a call on principals and their staff to discharge their respective duties with utmost commitment.
Ezewu, who stated this while monitoring school resumption in the state, said that education was key in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda.
She said that education would continue to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of any society.
The Education Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance to school resumption and advised students to take their studies seriously.
While saying that the Oborevwori administration had continued to prioritize the growth of the education sector in line with the meaningful development enshrined in the M.O.R.E Agenda, Ezewu assured teachers that the state government would always put issues concerning their welfare in the front burners.
Schools visited by the Secondary Education Commissioner included Eradajaye secondary school, Adeje in Okpe Local Government Area, Ugbomro secondary school, Ugbomro, Ugbolokposo secondary school in Uvwie Local Government Area and Unity Model Secondary School, Agbarho, as well as Agbarho Grammar School, Agbarho, all in Ughelli North Local Government Area among others.
