Leaders and stakeholders of the Itsekiri Nation have concluded arrangements for the grand reception in honour of the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026.
According to a statement by the former Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area and Chairman, Venue and Decoration Sub-Committee, Aduge Okorodudu, the event, billed to hold at Nana College Field from 10am, will serve as a historic gathering where the Itsekiri Nation would speak with one voice in endorsement of Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as their sole candidates for the 2027 general elections.
He noted that President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori have demonstrated strong leadership, commitment to national and state development, as well as economic reforms aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians.
Hon. Okorodudu stated that the endorsement reflects the confidence, trust and overwhelming support of the Itsekiri Nation for the continued leadership of both men beyond 2027.
The former Warri North Council Chairman therefore called on sons and daughters of Itsekiri Nation across Delta State and beyond to come out en masse and participate in the historic gathering geared towards sustaining the gains of the present administrations.
