DIRECTOR GENERAL NIGER DELTA PEACE ADVOCATES, BAR. ESIMAJE AWANI URGE UNITED NATIONS TO DISMISS ALLEGATIONS AGAINST EKPEMUPOLO, OTUARO, AND KYARI.

Niger Delta Peace Advocates have called on the United Nations to disregard the false allegations of human right violation made against Chief Government Ekpemupolo, Director Presidential Amnesty, Dr Dennis Otuaro, and Group Managing Director NNPCL, Mr Mele Kyari, by an unknown group.

They made the call during a press brief held at the office of the United Nations, UN, in Switzerland, shortly before submitting their paper to the UN.

Addressing newsmen at the United Nation’s office in Switzerland, shortly before submitting their paper to the UN office, the Director General of Niger Delta Peace Advocates, Mr Esimaje Awani, a lawyer, said the allegation of human right violation leveled against Chief Government Ekpemupolo, Director Presidential Amnesty, Dr Dennis Otuaro, and Group Managing Director NEPAL, Mr Mele Kyari, are false.

He explained that the allegation are being made by a group of persons who are against the Peace and development that Chief Government Ekpemupolo, Dr Dennis Otuaro, and Mr Mele Kyari have brought to the Niger Delta region.

Esimaje Awani, a lawyer, said the claims lack merit and evidence, and can be seen to emanate from individuals who do not benefit or gain from the significant contributions of Chief Ekpemupolo, Dr Otuaro, and Mr Kyari.

The director general Niger Delta Peace Advocates informed that Dr Dennis Otuaro has recorded unprecedented achievements in the Niger Delta, which includes, Empowering Ex-Agitators, Fostering Economic growth, Promoting community development amongst others, while Chief Government Ekpemupolo has been instrumental in promoting peace and security in the region, with efforts in engaging local communities in pipeline surveillance and environmental protection.

He also Informed that Mr Mele Kyari’s effort has played a crucial role in fostering economic growth and stability in the Niger Delta region.

Mr Esimaje Awani stressed that with such outstanding efforts by them, he wonder why some persons are trying to tarnish their image if not for selfish aim.

Mr Esimaje Awani called on the United Nations to disregard the false allegation, and recognize their positive contributions to the Niger Delta region and the Nation at large.

He stresses that the Niger Delta Peace Advocates stand resolute in supporting Dr Dennis Otuaro, Mr Mele Kyari, Chief Government Ekpemupolo and other leaders of thought, towards the development and welfare of the Niger Delta people.
