Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has commended the invaluable contributions of the Armed Forces in maintaining peace, stability, and security in Nigeria.
Rt Hon Guwor, in a message to commemorate the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, paid tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifices to defend the nation.
He said their selflessness, courage, and loyalty to Nigeria are an inspiration to all and acknowledged the sacrifices also made by their families and loved ones.
The Speaker whose message was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, said “as a nation, we must continue to support our Armed Forces and veterans and ensurie that their welfare is prioritized”.
Rt Hon Guwor, stressed that every stakeholder owes it a duty to help create an environment that promotes peace, unity, and prosperity in the country stating that the Delta State House of Assembly is committed to supporting the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori in maintaining strong synergy with the Armed Forces.
