The Chairman of Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Chief (Dr) Julius Takeme (JP), on Friday, 3rd January, 2025, performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Traditional Ruler’s Palace in T.T. Clan.
The T.T. Clan is the composite of Tuomo,Tebegbe, Tamigbe, Torugbene and others in that same axis with its seat of government at Tuomo in Burutu Local Government area.
DeltaTimes reports that the Burutu Council boss was accompanied by his counterparts, the Chairmen of Bomadi and Patani Local Government Council areas.
At the ceremony in the Clan’s Headquarters, Takeme emphasized that his administration would monitor the execution into the completion of the project; added that the Local Government would support the project financially for speedy completion and commissioning.
He, thereafter, appealed to other traditional rulers of Ijaw Nation to build a befitting Palace in their various traditional/ Headquarters.
Other notable personalities present at the ceremony included His Royal Majesty (Justice) Francis F. Tabai, JSC(Rtd ), the traditional chieftain of the T.T. kingdom, Hon. Chief Peres Oloye, Member Representing Burutu South Constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly, High Chief Mike Loyibo, the Prime Minister of T.T. Clan, Wing Commander P.Y. Biakpara, High Chief JT Government, Gen. Broderick Demeyeibo (rtd), Barr. Lucky Loyibo, Mark Okou, Vice Chairman Burutu Local Government PDP and a host of others.
