International Nurses Week, observed annually from May 6-12, is a time to recognize the invaluable contributions of nurses.
Humanity Hospital, located at Enerhen Road in the Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State, has organized a variety of activities to honor the dedication, leadership, and transformative impact of its nurses.
The nurses of Humanity Hospital, Enerhen, began their Nurses Week celebration on Monday with a visit to the Enerhen market, where they carried out free health talks, as well as sugar and blood pressure checks.
On Thursday, they also performed CPR tests and engaged in cultural dances from different tribes, which were met with admiration by both staff and patients.
Dr. Enoma Bazuaye, the Director of Humanity Hospital Limited, represented by the manager, Sonia Ekpidemi, shared that the celebration of nurses is an annual event aimed at honoring and celebrating the incredible compassion, dedication, and strength of the nurses who care for their patients every single day.
Dr. Bazuaye emphasized that the nurses’ tireless commitment to patients and their ability to show up with heart, even on the hardest days, demonstrates the need to prioritize their celebrations.
He added that the hospital is immensely grateful to have them as part of the team.Other speakers also expressed their gratitude to the nurses, highlighting that they are the heart of every hospital.
They noted that Humanity Hospital Limited’s impact extends far beyond the hospital walls through its community service, which is a core nursing value.
