Executive Assistant to Delta State Governor on Security Matters, Hon Godwin Obie has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on his award as Governor of the year by Thisday Newspaper.
Hon Obie who is from Bomadi ward ten described the award as well deserved noting that it is a recognition of the unprecedented achievements of Governor Oborevwori across Delta State.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters noted that Governor Oborevwori through his four cardinal programme encapsulated as MORE agenda has touched every local government area and senatorial district, with his development projects.
He explained that Governor Oborevwori scored a huge political point when he awarded three flyovers in the twin cities of Warri and Effurun to construction giant Julius Berger and his completion of the popularly Beneku bridge in Similarly, the multi billion Naira Kwale-Beneku bridge linking Ndokwa West and Ndokwa East LGAs has continued.
Hon Obie added that the completion of Enwhe-Olomoro Road; Enhwe Internal Roads; Ongoing Enhwe – Uwheru Road, reconstruction of 24km Isoko ring Road from Ellu, Ovrode, Ofagbe and renovation of roads in Warri and Effurun amongst others have made him stand out among his equals.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security Matters who has been giving food items and cash to his people in Bomadi ward ten every Easter and Christmas periods, stressed that, the exemplary commitment of Governor Oborevwori to the safety of lives and property is commendable.
He lauded Governor Oborevwori for donating over 60 new patrol vehicles to security agencies in the state to strengthen their daily operational capacity and for ensuring that the state’ security outfit, Operation Delta Sweep, remains well oiled to ensure the effective exercise of its mandate.
Hon Obie noted Governor Oborevwori carrying out all these projects without borrowing a dime and his insistence on ensuring quality projects by contractors, are worth honouring him, by Thisday and other notable groups in the country.Hon Obie promised to continue to work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the waterways are safe and ensure smooth operation of multinational companies in his area, so as to shore up the revenue base of the state inline with the Enhanced Peace and Security of the MORE agenda.
