The Delta State Government has announced the immediate ban on the indiscriminate mixing of concrete on road surfaces and pavements throughout the state.

According to a statement signed by the state Commissioner For Works, Rural & Riverine and Public Information, Mr Aniagwu Charles, says that the ban is due to the fact that these workmen carrying out this act are defacing as well as destroy the roads and pavement.

The statement adds that, while the state government is committed to providing road infrastructure across the state, it will not fold its arms and watch individuals destroy the ones already constructed.

The statement further informed that any person caught engaging in this act will be appropriately sanctioned and the construction site sealed.
